    <description descriptionType="Abstract">The data base contains aerosol number concentrations and size distributions measured from small environmental research aircraft over areas reported to be subject to changes in the hydrological cycle, especially declining rainfall trends. Size distributions combined with HYSPLIT backtrajectories can be used for source apportionment, regional studies for the quantification of particle emissions from selected dominant anthropogenic sources.</description>
