This fog and low clouds monthly occurence dataset consists of two regional NetCDF files representing the Angolan Namib (15–17°S) and the Central Namib (22–24°S), each restricted to a coastal strip extending 0–24 km inland from the coastline. The data are provided on the native SEVIRI satellite grid. Monthly values represent the mean percentage of valid 15-minute observations classified as fog or low cloud. Months with 15 or more days of missing data are excluded from the climatology. Geographic coordinates are provided as two-dimensional latitude and longitude fields referenced to the WGS 84 coordinate reference system.
