The dataset is organised into folders corresponding to different horizontal model resolutions: h26km: ICON simulations with 26 km resolution h40km: ICON simulations with 40 km resolution Each resolution folder contains multiple experiments. According to the accompanying publication, the experiment nomenclature is defined as follows: exp_0 → UNI1000 exp_1 → UNI500+ exp_2 → UNI500 exp_3 → UNI500− exp_4 → UNI1000+ exp_6 → UNI1000− exp_7 → UNI2000+ exp_8 → UNI2000 exp_9 → UNI2000− africa_2000 → Africa2000 tropics_2000 → Tropics2000 tropics_730 → Tropics730 Within each experiment, subfolders indicate the forecast lead time, ranging from 0 to 168 hours in 24‑hour increments. For each lead time, the data are further organised into thematic subdirectories: standard_variables: NetCDF files containing mean sea level pressure, temperature, total column water vapour, zonal wind, and geopotential. Geopotential is provided only for the UNI experiments and is not available for the Tropics and Africa experiments.
prec: NetCDF files containing 24‑hour accumulated precipitation, with timestamps corresponding to the end of the accumulation period
