Datenpaket: Temporally resolved measurement data of UFP-concentrations during winter (2024/25) and sommer (2023) months in a residential area near Karlsruhe

In den Wintermonaten 2024/2025 (Dezember bis Februar) und den Sommermonaten 2023 (Juni bis August) wurde in einem Wohngebiet bei Karlsruhe die Konzentration ultrafeiner Partikeln (UFP) in der Atemluft gemessen. Das verwendete Messgerät war ein AQ Guard Smart 2000 der Firma Palas. Gemessen wurde jeweils die Anzahlkonzentration und eine mittlere Partikelgröße mit einer zeitlichen Auflösung von 1 Minute.

During the winter months of 2024/2025 (December to February) and the summer months of 2023 (June to August), the concentration of ultrafine particles (UFP) in ambient air was measured in a residential area near Karlsruhe, Germany. Measurements were conducted using an AQ Guard Smart 2000 measurement device manufactured by Palas. The particle number concentration and a mean particle diameter were measured with a temporal resolution of 1 minute.

An individual Excel file (.xlsx) is provided. The file contains two worksheets consisting of the summer period of the year 2023 (June - August) and the winter period of 2024/25 (December - February).
aerosol_cn is the particle number concentration in cm^-3.
aerosol_x50dcn is the mean particle size in µm.
The data has a temporal resolution of 1 minute. The timestamps are provided in ISO 8601 format (YYYY-MM-DDTHH:MM:SS+00:00), with all times expressed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). Missing measurement values are indicated by empty cells. The data has not been post-processed and few individual readings may be affected by measurement artifacts (e.g. unplausibly high or negative UFP concentrations). Users are adviced to discard these values before analysis.
